What a tracker means
A cookie is information stored by your browser. Tracker rules may also apply to local storage, pixels and other ways of accessing a device. Their status depends on their purpose, not just their name.
Technical portal trackers
The portal uses cookies necessary for authentication and security. Names include the nodulz-portal prefix and may have a security prefix such as __Secure-. They recognise sessions and secure sign-in steps, including third-party sign-in.
Duration depends on the function: session expiry for authentication, and a short period needed to complete a sign-in exchange for temporary cookies. Actual expiry information is available in your browser’s cookie properties. These periods do not represent the retention period for every server log.
Cookies strictly necessary for a requested service do not require prior consent. Information duties and data protection rules still apply.
Advertising and audience measurement
The current nodulz website does not integrate advertising trackers or a non-essential audience measurement module. It therefore has no banner requesting consent to such trackers.
If purposes requiring consent are added, relevant trackers must remain blocked before your choice. Accepting, refusing and withdrawing consent must be equally simple. Accepting the terms of use does not constitute cookie consent.
Third-party services
When you open a payment page, third-party sign-in or an external service, it may use its own trackers under its responsibility. Review its policy and choice mechanisms. A link to a service alone does not mean that its cookies are placed on nodulz.
Trackers deployed by an organisation on a self-hosted instance or through a workflow depend on its own configuration and obligations.
Managing cookies
You can inspect, delete or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies may prevent portal sign-in; deleting them may sign you out. Deleting a cookie does not automatically erase account data on the server.
