Guided document search, insert, update, and delete in MongoDB

## Usage and specifics

Select a collection and operation. Guided filters and documents distinguish string, number, boolean, JSON and ObjectId; a text ID is not automatically an ObjectId.

Technical type : `mongodb`. Runtime : `nodulz`.

## Credentials and prerequisites

- [Create and configure the credential : mongodb](/docs/credentials/mongodb)

Create credentials in your nodulz instance’s Credentials area, then select them on the node. Availability depends on ownership and sharing. See the [credentials guide](/docs/credentials) for access and rotation.

## Parameters

Names below are technical keys. Defaults are not a ready-to-run configuration: complete fields required by your operation. Paths containing [] describe list items; some fields depend on the selected mode.

| Parameter | Type | Default | Values / limits |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `credentialId` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `collection` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `operation` | `enum` | `"find_one"` | `find_one`, `find_many`, `insert_one`, `update_one`, `delete_one`, `count` |
| `filter` | `array` | `[]` | - |
| `filter[].path` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `filter[].value` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `filter[].type` | `enum` | `"string"` | `string`, `number`, `boolean`, `json`, `objectId`, `date`, `null` |
| `filter[].operator` | `enum` | `"eq"` | `eq`, `ne`, `gt`, `gte`, `lt`, `lte`, `in`, `nin`, `exists` |
| `document` | `array` | `[]` | - |
| `document[].path` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `document[].value` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `document[].type` | `enum` | `"string"` | `string`, `number`, `boolean`, `json`, `objectId`, `date`, `null` |
| `limit` | `number` | `100` | -; ≥ 1, ≤ 1000 |
| `skip` | `number` | `0` | -; ≥ 0, ≤ 9007199254740991 |
| `sortField` | `string` | `""` | - |
| `sortDirection` | `enum` | `"asc"` | `asc`, `desc` |

## Configuration help

| Setting | Purpose and guidance |
| --- | --- |
| `credentialId`<br>MongoDB credential | Choose a saved MongoDB credential. |
| `collection`<br>Collection | Name of the collection to use. |
| `operation`<br>Operation | Choose the action to run on the collection. |

## Initial configuration

Initial catalog configuration example, to adapt before running. Keep secrets in credentials.

```json
{
  "credentialId": "",
  "collection": "",
  "operation": "find_one",
  "filter": [],
  "document": [],
  "limit": 100
}
```

## Verification

Test with representative data. Check node output in the inspector and logs, then use editor mapping for downstream fields. A trigger test with a simulated payload does not validate external service delivery.
